Citroen H Van Engine Rebuild

We had previously done chassis, floor pan and some bodywork restoration on this one, but the engine had been running rough, lacking power (they never had much anyway) and was in need of attention. 

We took the engine out and stripped it down fully, rebuilding it with new parts all round, including pistons, liners, skimmed head, gaskets, timing chain etc. 

It also had a new exhaust manifold, which we found in Belgium.  All the correct specifications for timing, torque settings etc were taken from the original manual.  All in French of course, but the power of translation technology got us there in the end (and the photos were in English!)
