Featured Restoration: Mercedes-Benz W115 220D Pick-up

The Mercedes-Benz W115 pick-up, a very rare beast in Europe. They were assembled in Argentina in the early 1970s and very few make it over here, in fact we only know of one, in a museum. This one is in for full mechanicals so that the owner can use it as a work truck, just as intended, but we’ve plenty of rust issues to sort out on the underside before we put the reconditioned/replaced running gear back on.  The truck will get new and reconditioned running gear, brakes, hoses, fuel tank etc, plus some engine work to improve compression and reduce smoke.  The body underside will be stripped, new metal welded in, including new sills, then a full prime and underseal to keep the British weather out.
