Porsche 911 Carrera Targa

Featured Restoration: 1985 Porsche 911 3.2 Carrera Targa (in progress)

Currently in our workshop we have a 1985 Porsche 911 3.2 Carrera Targa undergoing a full nut and bolt restoration. Its been an epic journey so far, with the usual scary discoveries throughout the restoration, but our team of technicians are fortunate enough to have the skills to overcome even the most challenging of obstacles that the car has thrown at us.

Having undergone a full strip down, when many of the body panels, sills, floor pan sections etc were replaced, we are nearing the stage of paint preparation ready for a respray in the original Porsche Guards Red.

The car will have pretty much all the mechanical parts replaced and will also benefit from an engine and gearbox rebuild to ensure she runs as good as she looks. In fact, there will be so many new parts on the car, it will almost be a new car !

Then it will be the interior to re-fit and a thorough shakedown before putting the car on completion.

When finished, this is likely to be one of the best 1980s 911s in the country
